I worked on a small but technically challenging sequence for Pacific Rim Uprising. The Comp Supervisor was very busy with other sequences, so I was pretty much given creative and technical ownership of these shots. I collaborated closely with the VFX Supervisor, and with FX and Lighting.
At the time Atomic Fiction had not done this level of FX work. We were fortunate to have a great FX artist, but the water simulations were very challenging. It involved a lot of close collaboration between FX, lighting, and compositing to get these shots looking great.
